Print of an original artwork created on authentic 1910 ledger paper using Prismacolor colored pencils and Micron ink. “Flight” was inspired by Oklahoma’s state bird, the scissor-tailed flycatcher. Scissor tails are very important to our ceremonies and traditions. This was actually one of my first attempts at drawing scissor tails and was a pathway into my career as a young artist. The piece was later acquired by the Chickasaw Nation and can now be found in all of the guest rooms at the OKANA Resort in Oklahoma City. Each print is hand-matted and ready to frame or display as is.
