Print of an original artwork created on authentic 1944 ledger paper using Prismacolor colored pencils and Micron ink. I originally created this piece for my capstone project before graduating from the University of Denver in June 2026. The piece focuses on Indigenous traditional knowledge within my community and Colorado’s landscape, and the connection between our people, the land, and the life around us. The young girl holds a magpie close to her, representing the way she holds onto the ways of her people and the stories and knowledge that have been passed down to her. Each print is hand-matted and ready to frame or display as is.
